I never really understood the hubbub about Scarlett. When I finally saw the films that garnered her so much praise I was not very impressed. She is always playing the same character and her acting is so wooded and one sided. Unlike other actresses she doesn't give her characters any depth and doesn't allow the audience to feel anything about her. While it is understandable to not make every character sentimental and relatable, you have to give your character some depth in order to make your character intriguing. She is very pretentious and I'm not a fan. I might still watch "Iron Man 2" because I do like Robert Downey Jr, but I can't say anything concrete, I'll have to wait for the trailer.
Lindsey Lohan has not been likable since she entered rehab. I think that she suffered so much exposure following "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls" and the expections were placed way to high. Additionally her choices in films suffered accoridngly. She was maturing and partying but still made films which were too light for her real image. Then she tried to make serious films and they were not good. Critics agree that she is indeed talented but her real life image is too controversal and unlikealble to follow. When Britney was falling apart people related to her and sympathized with her, but not so for Lohan. It is unfortuante and I hope that she does pull it all together, but I don't know if and when that will happen.
