So there has been some backlash over the Oscars lately. People are saying the award show is too extravagant in a time like this. Well, here's the thing, there is no question that the economy is a bit shakey right now, but--they are movie stars. It's glamour, its a tradition. And the Oscars have cut back on spending quite a bit. It's not like tax dollars pay for the ceremony. I say back off everyone.
